It’s recommended that children should be physically active for at least one hour per day. Here are seven ways to to help your kids be active this fall:
Get Bikes for the Family
Biking is a great, fun, and easy source of exercise. The health benefits are endless and it is something the entire family can do together, no matter the skill level. Caliterra’s master-planned community offers trails and parks that are perfect for biking with the whole family!
Sign Up for a 5k
There are plenty of 5Ks to choose from in the Austin area, most of which usually support a good cause. This is another easy opportunity for the family to do an activity together. With Thanksgiving coming up soon, you can get out and participate in one of the many Turkey Trots in the area!
Sign Your Kid Up for a Fall Sport
There are many indoor and outdoor sports going on during the fall such as soccer, football, and basketball. Encourage your kids to be active, try new things and support them! This is an easy way for them to make new friends, have some fun, and get some in some good exercise for children.
Weekend Family Activity Time
It’s easy to get busy with work and other commitments, but make time to get outdoors with your kids. Go to the park, throw the frisbee around, play some catch or maybe even hit up a rock climbing wall!
Go on a Family Hike
