The Truly Amazing Parks, Trails and Open Spaces of Caliterra

At Caliterra, you’ll find the best combination of Hill Country life paired with all the inviting amenities of a master-planned community. Active families looking for room to play, mid-lifers looking for a slower pace, empty nesters looking for a piece of paradise–everyone can be at home with nature here.

The Hall

All trails lead naturally to this community hub. Organize play dates at the Kid’s The Springs splash pad. Or just relax with neighbors and a glass of Texas wine as you watch spectacular sunsets settle below the horizon. For residents with a little more energy, the nearby playground beckons for adventurers.

The Front Porch

Home to Dripping Springs’ homegrown coffee shop, Le Muse Coffee, residents can enjoy a cup of gourmet tea or coffee, local curated treats exclusively sold here or a warm weather smoothie. It boasts ample indoor and outdoor seating that overlooks the serene, open areas. It’s also a well-known Breakfast Taco stop!

The Treehouse

At the heart of The Treehouse park is what we all wished for as kids: An oversized treehouse space that provides a unique spot where it’s easy to imagine being an intrepid explorer, the captain of a shipwrecked crew, or extreme adventurer. Built among the thick, twisting branches of a group of 100-year- old live oak trees, the main treehouse deck space is complemented by amenities perfect for children of all ages, including:

  • – Turf play area
  • – Shaded-seating areas
  • – Benches
  • – Picnic tables
The Back 40

At the top of the bluff along Caliterra Parkway, is a designated park area that will be developed into “The Back 40”. This central park will serve as the hub of the community. At one end is The Grove and The Cove pool complex. The remainder of the oak savannah will be developed into a large scale nature park – housing trails, picnic areas and camping sites.

The Yard

Just behind the hill country inspired community hall lies an expansive open area. As the community grows, this area will be used to host events such as local festivals, Star gazing and more! It’s a great place for frisbee throwing, pick up tag or just meandering.

The Cove — Pool Complex

Hidden at the top of the Caliterra Parkway, is our community pool complex. It is nestled among the Live Oak trees which provide natural shade and beauty! Our children’s wading pool has a beach access entry and is covered by a shade sail – Adults may find this an oasis as well. The adult pool is flanked by ample shade structures for needed respite from the sun.

The Run — Dog Park

Located behind The Cove, furry residents of Caliterra can frolick with their buddies under the shade of the live oaks! The Run dog park is open- featuring separate large and small dog parks. Bring your favorite chair and cooler of spirits to mingle with friends and neighbors.

The Dock

Whether you are a fisherman or a thinker, the dock alongside Onion Creek is the perfect place to hang out.  It’s located behind The Barn and it is close to picnic and BBQ grills for gatherings.

The Trails

Meandering throughout the community is an extensive trail system! Walk along Onion Creek, run through the live oaks or trek over the Onion Creek footbridge. We currently have several miles of trails completed –they expand monthly as the community grows. Dotted along the trails are picnic parks, seating under the shade and various stopping points!

The Grove — Firepit Oasis

Coming Soon! The laid back Texas lifestyle of Caliterra wouldn’t be complete without a proper hangout garden. The Grove will be the location for watching sunsets, grilling, designated campsites, Hammock Garden, WiFi equipped. You might even find a pickup game of Horseshoes!

The Adventure Barn

Located past The Yard, the old barn that has been there since before Caliterra broke ground, is now The Adventure Barn. It is an open-air pavilion for birthday bashes, wine tastings or various community gatherings. Neighbors can team up for Jenga challenges, corn hole tournaments or a crazy game of Connect Four! For the sports minded residents, the barn has fishing poles, kayaks and butterfly nets.

The Stage

No hill country haven is complete without a place to listen to music under the stars and clouds. The Stage is located at the edge of our event lawn, just behind The Hall. It will be home to concerts, events, and more throughout the seasons.
