A Letter from Our Hill Country Realtor – Jeff Edgar
After visiting Austin from Houston over 30 years ago, the die was cast. I knew I had to find a way to move to Austin, and fast! The live music scene, the people, and the sheer beauty of the Hill Country made the decision an easy one. It was home.
My field of study in college was Architectural Design Technology and Computer Science. I used 90 hours from my college credits, took 90 hours of core Real Estate courses and approximately 21 days later, I found myself taking the State Exam, and in 1990 it was official. I was fully licensed to practice and chose to specialize in the Lake Travis/Hill Country area. I was supposed to design homes for a living but ended up selling homes instead. And I have absolutely no regrets!
Throughout my career, I have managed some of the most successful Real Estate offices in Austin, but my real passion is finding the perfect home or land for my Clients. There’s nothing like helping my Clients find the home or building site of their dreams. I will work tirelessly until I find it!
In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar and listening to great music, staying physically active hiking on some of Austin’s amazing nature trails, sailing, snorkeling, scuba diving and surfing. While the latter cannot be done in Austin, I do enjoy the ocean. In fact, I lived in the US Virgin Islands for a short time. It was an experience I will never forget and one I hope to repeat! My dream is to someday sail the U.S. and British Virgin Islands on my own 60’ Beneteau Oceanis!
