Speaking of which, we have one of the biggest Dripping Springs events coming up this month – the Dripping Springs Founders Day Festival. Here are some of the major things to know about this celebratory event!

About the Dripping Springs Founders Day Festival
When: Friday, April 27 – Sunday, April 29
Where: Downtown Dripping Springs
What Time: Friday 6:30 PM – Midnight, Saturday 10:00 AM – 11:00 PM, Sunday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The three-day celebration truly is one of our favorite things to do in Dripping Springs, and is hands-down one of the most popular Dripping Springs events with all the locals. Get ready as thousands of people gather in historic downtown Dripping Springs to celebrate our city’s heritage and pioneer spirit. While the Founders Day Festival has only been around for 31 years, Dripping Springs was founded way back in 1850 by the Moss, Wallace and Pound families.
Kick Off the Celebration with a Parade
The Dripping Springs Founders Day Festival wouldn’t be complete without the parade to kick it off! The parade is on Friday at 6:30 PM and will start on Mercer Street in downtown Dripping Springs. The theme for this year’s parade is “Celebrate Drippin’.” We recommend getting there early with some lawn chairs to get the best parade-watching spots.
The Mighty Thomas Carnival
It wouldn’t be a proper Founders Day Festival without a carnival! The Mighty Thomas Carnival will offer something fun for the for the whole family with everything from games and cotton candy to a Merry-Go-Round and a Ferris wheel.
For the most fun, get your Mighty Thomas Carnival tickets on presale until April 26 for $20 a sheet (rather than $40 per sheet at the carnival) from the following places:
