It’s that time of week again, time for another Taco Tuesday highlight! Last month, we talked about Taqueria La Escondida, and of all the great places for tacos in Dripping Springs, this week, we’re talking about Verde’s Mexican Parrilla in Austin.

Perfect After a Day at Hamilton Pool
In the past, Caliterra’s talked about the best swimming holes near Dripping Springs, and Hamilton Pool in Dripping Springs was at the top of that list! Swimming in the natural pool and exploring all that beautiful Hill Country nature can really build up an appetite. Thankfully for your stomach, Verde’s Mexican Parrilla is just an 8-minute drive from everyone’s favorite Dripping Springs swimming hole.
During the week, Verde’s Mexican Parrilla opens at 4:00 PM, on Saturdays they open at 3:00 PM and on Sundays they open at 11:00 AM. With that being said, this is definitely one of our top Austin dinner destinations that’s super close to Dripping Springs. They’re only about a 20-minute drive from Caliterra.
Tacos Worth Talking About
Sure, Verde’s Mexican Parrilla has plenty of exceptional Mexican cuisine, but it wouldn’t be a true Taco Tuesday If we didn’t talk the most about them. They’ve got four taco meals that each treat your taste buds to a burst of unique flavors.
- Deshebrada Street Tacos: shredded beef, Anaheim verde sauce, onion, cilantro, cotija cheese and lime
- Pulled Pork Tomatillo: pulled pork, tomatillo cream sauce and cotija cheese
- Fish Tacos: red fish, chipotle cucumber slaw, pico, avocado and chipotle aioli
- Chorizo Anaheim Chicken: chicken, lettuce, chorizo, Anaheim verde sauce and goat cheese
So, they aren’t “technically” tacos in Dripping Springs, but they’re so close Verde’s Mexican Parrilla might as well call Dripping Springs home!
