12+ Months Before
- Decide possible wedding dates and times
- Plan out an overall budget
- Start planning the guest list and wedding party

- Begin your search and selection of the perfect dress
- Think about your floral décor
- Decide on entertainment (band, DJ or both)
- Think about what food you want

6 – 8 Months Before
- Order bridesmaid dresses

- Research and reserve accommodations for out-of-town guests
4 – 6 Months Before
- Shop for and order official wedding invitations
- Renew or get passports, if necessary

3 Months Before

- Attend your wedding shower (depending on when your host decides to have it)
2 Months Before
- Send invitations

1 Month Before
- Apply for a marriage license
- Final gown fitting
- Make last-minute adjustments with vendors
- Create a wedding program to give to guests
2 Weeks Before
- Review final RSVP guest list and check with those who haven’t responded
- Deliver must-have shot list to the photographer
- Deliver final song list to your DJ or band
- Get any final pre-wedding haircut or coloring done
1 Week Before
- Give reception site and caterer final guest headcount – include anyone who will need a plate (photographer, videographer band members, etc.)
- Plan reception seating chart
- Confirm arrangements with all vendors
- Attend bachelor and bachelorette parties
2 – 3 Days Before
- Have gown pressed or steamed
- Determine wedding party positions during the ceremony
- Reconfirm details with vendors
- Arrange for guests without cars to be picked up from the airport or train station
The Day Before
- Give all vendors an emergency phone number to call on the day of the wedding (not a member of the wedding party)
- Write checks and make sure all final balances are paid
The Night Before
- Rehearse ceremony
- Give your marriage license to your officiant
- Attend rehearsal dinner
The Day Of
- Give the rings to the best man and maid of honor to hold during the ceremony
- Get married and celebrate!
