Of all the Dripping Springs events this month, we’re obviously the most excited for the Caliterra Race to Brunch 5K and Festival on Saturday, May 12! Over the past few weeks, we’ve talked all about this 5K near Austin and have covered everything from how you should train for the 5K, what you should wear and what you should eat to the things to do at the event, the food we’ll have there and the refreshing Hill Country beer we’ll be toasting with at the end of the 5K. Now all you need to know about the Caliterra Race to Brunch 5K and Festival is the route 5K participants will be following and the event schedule, which is exactly what we’ve got for you now!
The 5K Route
Starting off by the Caliterra Welcome Lounge, the Caliterra Race to Brunch 5K will give runners a chance to see some of the most beautiful parts of Caliterra in Dripping Springs. With minimal road running, participants will get to run on our extensive trail system, as well as alongside scenic Onion Creek. Now that you know where you’ll be running, let’s talk timing.
Get Here Early to Register
Registration for the 5K is at 8:00 AM on the day of the event (Saturday, May 12). However, participants must have already bought their entry ticket on the Eventbrite page by Friday, May 11. Caliterra residents can register for $20 and, it’s $30 for nonresidents. While registration is at 8:00, we’d recommend getting here even earlier so you can quickly get registered and warmed up to completely rock this 5K near Austin.
Start Cheering for the Runners
If you aren’t participating, then you just need to be ready to cheer on the runners by 9:00 AM, when the 5K officially begins. Since we’ll have a complimentary valet, you don’t have to worry about finding parking, but we would still recommend getting here early if you want to have a good view of the runners as they start. As the runners start to cross the finish line, they’ll get something much better than just their VIP swag bags because Twisted X Brewery will be handing out free beers for cheers to the 5K participants.
Enjoy the Best of Dripping Springs
Once the 5K has concluded, then the REAL fun will begin with the free festival. Get ready to taste amazing food from exceptional local food trucks, as well as check out the culinary and mixology demonstrations that’ll be showing you how to make your favorite brunch specialties.
