1. First Thursday Dripping Springs

What Time: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Always one of our favorite Dripping Springs events, First Thursday Dripping Springs is the perfect event to kick off your May with loads of local fun. Enjoy special activities, live music, art, dining and shopping with your family as you experience Downtown Dripping Springs like you’ve never experienced it before.
2. Spring Pecan Street Festival

When: Saturday, May 5 & Sunday, May 6
Where: East 6th (Old Pecan Street) – Austin
What Time: Saturday, 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM & Sunday, 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Let’s drive on up to Austin for this next fun event. The annual Spring Pecan Street Festival is a free two-day arts festival held twice a year in Austin’s Sixth Street Historic District. This festival is also an arts competition that features over 300 artists. And talk about live music, the Spring Pecan Street Festival will have three stages that will have music during the entire festival. As far as live music events near Dripping Springs go for the month of May, you won’t get much better than the Spring Pecan Street Festival! Here’s the full music lineup.
3. Caliterra Race to Brunch 5K and Festival

Where: Caliterra – Dripping Springs
What Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
If you didn’t know that our beautiful master-planned community was hosting a 5K and festival, where have you been? The Caliterra Race to Brunch 5K and Festival is going to be an absolute blast, and we can’t wait to see everyone there! The festival is free, but if you want to participate in the 5K, the entry fee is $20 for Caliterra residents and $30 for non-residents. Register now!

4. Red, White & Blues on the Falls

Where: On Cypress Creek – 1 Woodcreek Circle, Wimberley
What Time: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Rounding out our list of the top events near Dripping Springs to attend this May is the 3rd annual Red, White & Blues on the Falls event in Wimberley. Grab your sunscreen, sunglasses and maybe a few floaties and get ready to float around on Cypress Creek while listening to some great live music. This is the perfect event to help you and your family celebrate Memorial Day Weekend! The tickets are $21 and $1 of every ticket sold will be donated to TreeFolks, an Austin-based nonprofit organization.
