Residents living in Dripping Springs love all the fun and exciting events that take place throughout the year, especially events hosted by The Pound House Farmstead. Join them for their 25th Annual Pioneer Day on September 26th!
A Celebration of Early Texas Life
This one-day educational experience allows visitors to truly get the full experience of what early Texas was really like. With more than 40 demonstrators of pioneer crafts and skills, there will be a variety of activities for the whole family to participate in throughout the day, such as butter churning, Dutch oven cooking and quilting. In addition, visitors can enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides, Civil War and cowboy re-enactments, and plenty of delicious food!
Children of all ages are welcome!
This is the perfect kid friendly event to do over the weekend. There will be a Children’s Play Area featuring a one-room schoolhouse, fun kid activities and games, as well as a spot for creating crafts, such as candle making. There will also be an area for your kids to pet the chickens and goats!
