‘Tis the season for giving! We are excited to be hosting our 3rd annual Toys for Tots event to bring joy to children in our communities. Our drive-thru event will be held on Saturday, November 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Front Porch at Caliterra. We invite you and your family to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate, and in return, you will receive a holiday swag bag!* If you stop by between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., you may even get a chance to wave at Santa!
In order to respect social distancing guidelines, it will be a drive-thru event so please stay in your car and wear your mask!
If you are unavailable that day, there are other ways to donate: drop a toy off in the donation box located inside The Front Porch (Le Muse Coffee shop), visit the Toys for Tots website to make a monetary donation online, or you can shop, select, and donate the perfect toy with the Virtual Toy Box.
The Marine Corps Toys for Tots program is a national organization that collects new, unwrapped toys and distributes them to less fortunate children during Christmas time. The program was created in 1947 and has since distributed 584 million toys, and in turn, supported 265 million children. Local Toys for Tots campaigns are conducted annually in over 800 communities covering all 50 states, and we are proud to be one of these. Once toys are collected, they will be sorted by age and gender, and then distributed by local social welfare agencies, churches, and other community organizations to children in need. For some, this may be the only gift they receive this Christmas.
