Nothing signifies America’s birthday quite like the Fourth of July fireworks spectacular. When it comes to scouting out the best place to watch the Rocket’s red glare after an Independence Day cookout, Hill Country residents have a number of options to choose from.
Grab a blanket or lawn chair and prepare to be dazzled at these area fireworks displays.
H-E-B Austin Symphony July 4th Concert & Fireworks – For nearly half a century, Austinites have been celebrating Independence Day with the Austin Symphony Orchestra. Star Spangled Fest draws thousands to Vic Mathias Shores for an afternoon of live music before it all comes to a culmination, with the orchestra providing the soundtrack for a red, white, and blue fireworks show. The event is free, though tickets are available to purchase for special VIP seating.
Hill Country Galleria Independence Day Celebration – There’s always something going on at the Hill Country Galleria, even if it’s just an afternoon of fantastic shopping. Swing by July 4, though, and visitors will be treated to an Independence Day celebration that includes live music, specialty food vendors, fair rides, water games, and complimentary face painting for the kids. The day concludes with a fireworks show at 9:30 PM.
Red White + Buda – Mark your calendars because Buda has a full day of family fun activities planned for the Fourth of July. The day begins with a bike parade at 9 AM, with more family fun kicking off at 4 PM. There will be a splash pad and bounce house for the kiddos, as well as volleyball, cornhole, and a rock climbing wall for older attendees. Hang around until 9:15 PM, when the day wraps up with a festive fireworks display.
Fire in the Sky – While there’s plenty happening in the greater Austin area, Dripping Springs residents don’t have to leave town to see a great fireworks show. Fire in the Sky, presented by the Isaac family, will be held on the evening of July 4 at Hog Heaven. The fireworks show is open to the public and free to attend but tickets are available for a veterans fundraiser dinner before the fireworks kick off.
Build Your Own Show – If you’re more of a DIY kinda person when it comes to a fireworks show, then be sure to check out Half Off Fireworks at 100 S Canyonwood Road in Dripping Springs. The fireworks superstore and its knowledgeable staff will be able to help you put on an explosive extravaganza that’s both safe and awe-inspiring.
Don’t Forget the Essentials – Whether you’re going to be enjoying fireworks from your own driveway or at a large event, don’t forget the essentials. Be sure to pack a folding chair or comfortable blanket to sit on. And because July 4 is typically very hot, you’ll want to have some water and sunscreen with you if you’re going to be outside prior to the event.
With so much to do in the Texas Hill Country on July 4 and throughout the summer, it’s easy to see why Dripping Springs is such an appealing town to call home. If you’d like to find the perfect home here, contact the Caliterra team today.
