The restaurant scene in Dripping Springs is booming and doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. In 2023, we saw new restaurants such as Mr. Gatti’s Pizza and Mighty Fine Burgers come to town, and there are several new eateries primed to open in 2024.
Here are a few new places to put on your “must-try” list this year.
7 Brew Coffee – Dripping Springs already has several great coffee shops, but we’re always in favor of one more place to get a caffeine fix. 7 Brew Coffee is a growing chain that hails from Rogers, Arkansas, and already has over a dozen locations in the Lone Star State.
The coffee company is known for its drive-thru drink stands and “cultivating kindness” through its customer service, atmosphere, and, of course, quality of drinks. Cheers to that!
Amy’s Ice Creams – If a new place to grab a coffee in 2024 wasn’t reason enough to get excited, how about a new ice cream parlor for a sweet tooth fix? This fun and funky ice cream chain will celebrate its 40th anniversary this year, so the folks at Amy’s obviously know a thing or two about what makes a great scoop of ice cream.
The sweet shop, which handcrafts its ice creams and frozen yogurts, is poised to open its Dripping Springs location as part of the Ledgestone East development off Hwy. 290 later this year.
Slice Street Pizza – Get ready, Dripping Springs, because New York is coming to town! Slice Street will be bringing a taste of the East Coast to Texas and serving both Detroit and New York-style pizza. The shop just opened at 333 Hwy. 290 is perfect for grabbing a quick dinner after leaving work, as it’s a takeout and delivery-only pizzeria.
Pizza fans can choose from a variety of full pies or single slices with specialty items like the Yes Please Supreme, OMGosh It’s Good, or The High 5-0.
Garbo’s Lobster – In just a few years, this local lobster shack has quickly established a name for itself in Central Texas. Founded by Heidi Garbo and her two sisters, Hannah and Samantha Garbo, Garbo’s opened its first Austin location in 2020. Since then, the sisters have opened a second location, and the new Dripping Springs location at 136 Drifting Wind Run is slated to open later in 2024.
When the new location opens its doors, Dripping Springs residents will no doubt be clamoring to get their hands on the restaurant’s signature New England-style lobster rolls (with a Texas twist).
Playa Bowls – Don’t get us wrong, we love a good biscuit for breakfast, but it’s nice to have options. For customers looking for a perfect pre-or post-workout meal, Playa Bowls’ new location is going to be a very welcomed addition to Dripping Springs. The franchise offers healthy acai, pitaya, coconut bowls, and smoothies, all made with fresh ingredients.
With a nearly endless variety of customizable options, the menu has something for everyone!
