According to the National Association of Realtors, a high-performing school district is one of the top priorities home buyers look for when choosing where to live. Dripping Springs is fortunate to offer schools that will challenge young learners from their earliest years all the way up to preparing them for college.
An A+ Rating
An “A+” is always going to be better than a “B” or “C” letter grade, and according to Niche, a data-driven company that profiles schools, the Dripping Springs Independent School District is a top performer. With a report card that assigns the district an “A” in 8 out of 9 categories, the Dripping Springs ISD is the best school district in Hays County.
In fact, the only category Niche didn’t assign an “A” in was diversity, and the school district still earned a respectable “B-.”
It’s not just in Hays County that the Dripping Springs ISD is a standout in education, but across the entire state as well. Out of over 800 school districts in Texas, Dripping Springs schools ranked 18 for having the best teachers and 25 for best overall.
Academics, Athletics, and Fine Arts
The Dripping Springs ISD is committed to molding well-rounded students through robust offerings across the three As: academics, athletics, and arts.
With an emphasis on hands-on learning as well as digital learning, honors/AP programs, and technical programs for older students, the district’s rich academic curriculum puts students in the “best position possible for post-high school success.”
The district also places an emphasis on both fine arts and athletics, from elementary age all the way up through high school. Younger students engage in a variety of physical play activities, while middle school and high school students have both physical education classes as well as team athletics opportunities across a wide range of sports.
A foundation for fine arts appreciation begins in the elementary grades and continues as students grow with choir, dance, theater, band, and orchestra programs.
