Who’s ready to celebrate America’s birthday? Many feel more excited about it this year for obvious reasons. And besides, good times are guaranteed with fireworks, live music, and great food. Here’s a roundup of July 4th events happening near Dripping Springs to help you celebrate!
Dripping Springs Fire in the Sky
Yes! Fire in the Sky is back! Join the festivities at Hog Heaven (491 Hog Hollow Rd, Dripping Springs, TX 78620) on July 3 at 7 pm. The event will benefit first responders and veterans. Watch for updates on Dripping Springs Fire in the Sky Facebook page.
Dripping Springs Distilling
Celebrate the 4th and grand opening with Jesse Stratton Band at Dripping Springs Distilling (5330 Bell Springs Rd.). It’s only a 30-minute drive from Dripping Springs.
Stars and Stripes July Bash
Come to Buck’s Backyard (1750 S Farm to Market 1626, Buda, Texas 78610) for the Stars and Stripes July Bash with live music from AJ Castillo, Jay Perez, Gary Hobbs, El Dusty, Rumores, and Broken Arrow.
Hill Country Galleria Independence Day
The Hill Country Galleria Independence Day Festival (12700 Hill Country Blvd., Bee Cave, TX 78738) returns on July 4th from 4 to 10 pm. They’ll have more than 75 art and food vendors on the streets of the galleria.
The full line-up of live music includes Central Plaza including Fastball, Vallejo, the Deer, White Ghost Shivers, and School of Rock. Bring blankets and chairs to enjoy the show. Stick around until nightfall to finish the day with a bang of fireworks.
Fredericksburg Celebration
The City of Fredericksburg will hold a Texas Fourth of July Parade down Main St. with dozens of floats celebrating America at Marktplatz on July 4 at 1 pm. The parade heads east on Main St. toward the Nimitz Museum. From there it makes a U-turn and goes west down Main all the way to Bowie St. Bring lawn chairs or tailgate it!
Fredericksburg hosts its annual July 4th fireworks at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park (432 Lady Bird Dr., Fredericksburg, TX 78624). The park and Gillespie County Fairgrounds have multiple viewing locations.
Horse racing fans can catch the races on July 3 and 4 at Gillespie County Fairgrounds (530 Fair Dr., Fredericksburg, TX 78624). Gates open at 11 am and post time is 1 pm.
Kyle’s Independence Day Fireworks Show
Just 30 minutes from Dripping Springs, you can catch fireworks in Kyle. The Independence Day Celebration will start around 9 pm with fireworks launching from Plum Creek Golf Course (4301 Benner Rd, Kyle, TX 78640), so you’ll want to arrive early to find parking around Kohlers Crossing and Kyle Parkway. For the best view, look for the tall water tower next to Hays CISD.
