Fall may just be the best season in Central Texas. Sure, summer is great for lazy days at the lake, but c’mon… the heat! Fall on the other hand, is not too hot, not too cold, and is perfect for enjoying the outdoors.
While there’s plenty of fun stuff happening around the Dripping Springs area, autumn is also one of the best times to enjoy the amenities within the Caliterra community.
The Front Porch
One of the best ways to kick off a Saturday morning in Caliterra is a stroll over to Le Muse coffee shop at the Front Porch. Located next to the community events Hall, residents can grab a hot cup of gourmet coffee and a pastry before either going on about their day or taking some time to pull up a chair on the Front Porch and enjoy the crisp autumn air.
Le Muse also happens to be a popular go-to for breakfast tacos, which, of course, are delicious throughout the year.
The Grove
Next to college football and pumpkin spice lattes, the best thing about the fall season is fire pit season. A weekend evening doesn’t get much more relaxing than pulling up a chair and listening to the crackling of logs on the fire at The Grove.
This community spot is a great way to reconnect and meet new neighbors in a casual setting over a cold beverage, a game of horseshoes, or a round of ‘smores.
Hit the Trails
From the beginning, a focus on the appreciation of nature was at the heart of Caliterra’s design. That’s why more than 250 acres within the Caliterra community remain undeveloped – so residents can enjoy this scenic area every day!
Winding throughout the community is an extensive trail system for residents to enjoy. A walk along Onion Creek or through the Back 40 savannah, surrounded by wildflowers and mature trees, is a relaxing way to start or finish a fall day. These areas are not only great for exercise, and picnicking, but are ideal for bird watching too.
The Treehouse
The pool at The Cove is a popular spot during the summer months, but when cooler weather rolls in, families at Caliterra are all about the Treehouse playscape. This oversized and elevated playground allows youngsters to burn off some energy while mom and dad can sit down and relax a bit on one of the park benches.
The play area has plenty of trees for shade and there are also several picnic tables available for when the inevitable craving for a snack and juice box hits.
The Dog Run
There’s a lot to love about the Caliterra community for its four-legged residents. From the trails to the open Yard area behind the community center, there are plenty of spots for a pooch to get in some exercise.
Now when it comes to mingling with other pups, The Run dog park is where it’s at. The Run is divided into two separate areas for both big and small dogs, and each area has plenty of trees and open space so canines can run, jump, and bark to their heart’s content.
