Looking for something to do on the weekends in September? Things are going to be hopping at Dreamland (2770 W Hwy 290, Dripping Springs, TX 78620) in Dripping Springs. It’s only 10 minutes from the Caliterra community, so it’s easy to attend more than one of these fun events!
Live Music Fridays
Want to try your hand at singing? You can as Dreamland hosts karaoke every Friday from 9:30 to 11 pm. Come sing your heart out in the beer garden with KJ Armando hosting. They have karaoke every Friday night. Be sure to sign up to get a free drink!
They also host a band every Friday from 7 to 9 pm. There is no charge and it does not require RSVP. Here’s who’s coming to play on the beer garden stage.
Paul Val Band plays on September 17. He’s an American Blues Rock guitarist from Austin and is becoming a sensation in the Texas scene. Dreamland describes his sound as traditional Texas blues rock like those of ZZ Top (RIP Dusty Hill), Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Johnny Winter.
On September 24, Dreamland welcomes Gus Miller Band to the beer garden stage. They’re an American roots band that takes a modern approach to old country classics with grooves like the Grateful Dead and the Rolling Stones. They take the stage from 7 to 9 pm.
Coffee with Cars
There’s just something about seeing a unique car on the road that catches your eye. Maybe it’s an antique car. Maybe it’s a souped-up Mustang.
Coffee with Cars gives people a chance to show off their hot rod, sports car, muscle car, exotic vehicle, classic truck, or motorcycle. Of course, there will be lots of coffee and food available. It’s open for the entire family as you can make a day of it and enjoy mini-golf, pickleball, and other outdoor games.
Dreamland is an outdoor entertainment, recreation, and arts venue on 64 acres in Dripping Springs. Cars and Coffee is free as are many of the amenities at Dreamland. The venue only charges for mini-golf, disc golf, pickleball, merchandise, food, and beverages. Coffee with Cars occurs on the last Sunday of the month from 8 to 11 am. The next one is on Sept. 26.
Did you know Dreamland cares about sustainability? They capture rainwater with iconic tanks and use that water across the venue. They also have Tesla charging stations and a solar array on the roof of the bar and beer garden. Solar energy powers various parts of the property. They aim to operate as close to carbon-neutral as possible.
