This smaller Texas city of about 17,000 residents has a deep German heritage and takes its name from German author and satirist Ludwig Börne – though Ludwig never actually visited the settlement named after him.
Today, it’s a popular destination offering history, shopping, dining, and even a little adventure thrown in for good measure.
