If you’re looking for a dose of holiday cheer to put you in the spirit of the season, you’ll find plenty of Christmas fun for the whole family in Dripping Springs. From holiday festivals to chili cook-offs and so much more, there are plenty of local events going on to kick off the season.
Presented by the City of Dripping Springs, this popular community event takes place Friday, December 2, and Saturday, December 3, and is free for all to attend.
Grab your lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks and head to The Triangle for the Tree Lighting at dusk! Get there a bit early to grab a good spot, because after the tree lighting, you can stick around for a showing of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. It will be the perfect way to ring in the holidays in Dripping Springs.
Saturday will offer more fun you won’t want to miss, starting at 10 AM and running throughout the day until 5 PM. There will be live music as well as food and drinks available from several local restaurants. Still marking things off your Christmas shopping list? Stop by the local arts and crafts vendors for handmade gifts and local treasures. And because a Christmas festival just isn’t complete without an appearance from Santa, the man himself will be paying a visit!
One of our favorite events of the holiday season is happening right here in our community. The Hill Country Holiday Bazar is returning once again, at The Hall at Caliterra (505 Wynnpage Dr.) on December 10th from 10 AM to 6 PM and December 11th from 9 AM to 2 PM.
This event by Le Muse Coffee and Wine Bar is the perfect way to knock things off your shopping list. There will be live music, tasty treats to try, and a variety of local artisan vendors – so come hungry and with your shopping list!
It’s looking like this year’s Holiday Bazaar is shaping up to be even better than the last. Some of the local vendors in attendance include BlueberryCreations, Murph’s Treats, Fillers Woodworking, Bizzy Lizzy Boutique, Knott Garden, Heavenly Angel Kisses, Dreamy Luscious Soaps, and many more! Visit our Facebook event page to get the latest details, and message us directly to become a vendor.
Camp Lucy Christmas Chili Cook-off
If you’ve never been to Camp Lucy, then you owe it to yourself to pay this local luxury resort a visit this December. The getaway camp is not only one of the area’s premier wedding venues but is a popular spot for both couple’s getaways and corporate events. It also happens to be the site of some of the best chili in the Texas Hill Country this Christmas.
After checking out Christmas on Mercer, head over to Camp Lucy on Sunday, December 4 for its second annual Chili Cook-Off. The family-friendly event goes from 3 to 6 PM and features local chefs and chili enthusiasts whipping up their best pot of chili to impress both the judges and hungry attendees. In addition to delicious chili, there will be craft cocktails, a s’mores station, live music, and holiday vendors. This is a ticketed event ($45 -$70) with the proceeds benefiting local charity Helping Hands. Visit their website to get your tickets.
With so much happening this Christmas in Dripping Springs, it’s easy to see what makes this Texas town so appealing. If you’d like to find a home here, reach out to the Caliterra team to learn more.
