Austin’s Capital City Black Film Festival

Are you a film buff looking for something different? Miss attending film festivals? Interested in hearing the universal stories of African American filmmakers? You’ll want to attend Austin’s Capital City Black Film Festival, which is a safe and virtual experience. This year’s theme is “Breakthrough: Unleash Your Power.” The theme aims to explore the impact racism has on the mental health of Black people.
Christmas Market

This year’s Christmas Market requires becoming a member of the German-Texan Heritage Society. Everyone is welcome to join. You could be a history buff, Texan of German descent, someone interested in preserving a historic landmark, or someone who wants to learn more about the impact German-Texans have on the history of Texas, or none of the above.

Blue Genie Bazaar

Blue Genie Art Bazaar is an annual holiday show in Austin. This year, they ask storefront shoppers to make free, ticketed reservations to ensure a safe shopping experience. Just go to their website to learn how to shop this season. You have many shopping options: shop in-store, shop online and have it shipped, or shop online and pick it up.
What’s cool is they have a new Personal Shopper service. Their genies will work their magic and find the right gifts for everyone on your list. And if you want a shopping experience for friends, family, or work, they offer a private shopping experience.
Peppermint Parkway

Looking for a magical drive-thru holiday experience? Look no further than Peppermint Parkway at Circuit of the Americas (COTA). Join mascots Pepper and Mint on their journey down the COTA’s Tunnel Road. As you drive through, you’ll work your way through Twinkle Tunnel and its light sculptures. You’ll travel to Candy Cane Lane, Gingerbread Alley, and end the North Pole. Along the way, you’ll hear holiday music, be in awe of dazzling scenes, and wave to Santa.
After you drive through, you can head to Peppermint Plaza with kiddie amusement park rides, train rides, sweets, and treats. COTA Kart and Grinch Zipline are also available. Get ready, set, go on your magical adventure!
