Duchman Family Winery
One of the Dripping Springs wine trail’s most popular wineries, the Duchman Family Winery is a sure hit. Founded in 2004, the Duchman’s produce food-friendly wine using exclusively Texas-grown fruit. This winery near Austin offers a tasting room where you can learn about the winery’s current releases, all available for purchase. The estate’s grounds are open to visitors who are invited to enjoy wine outside or inside with a windowed view into the barrel room, fermentation tank or production area. Salt Lick Cellars
For those in search of a lively and child-friendly atmosphere, our next Dripping Springs winery is for you. Salt Lick Cellars, built in 2009 next door to the infamous Salt Lick BBQ, offers a variety of fine wines available for purchase and tasting. They also feature local craft beer! The tasting room includes a shaded wrap-around patio with a wine and beer deck surrounded by the same vines that produced the wine. Stop by on Thursdays from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. to pair your wine and beer selections with wood-fired pizzas and appetizers. On Thursday nights, reservations are required, and you should snag your table early by calling (512) 829-4013.
Solaro Estate
Bordered by Austin’s own Barton Creek, the Solaro Estate is dedicated to sustainable farming practices and the protection of natural resources. The Solaro Group has produced and distributed internationally recognized wines from both Italy and the United States. Tastings of wines selected by the Solaro Estate winemaker are available along with tours of the vineyard and winery, located just above the banks of Barton Creek.
